One-time payment through Stripe. Unused Runes do not expire. The final total is shown before payment.

CHF is the base price. Depending on your country, Stripe offers local currencies such as EUR or USD. The exchange rate includes a 2–4% conversion fee paid by the buyer. You see the currency and total before payment; language is independent of currency.

What uses Runes?

Runes pay for AI usage. Text, images, maps and Gemini audio have different costs. Longer stories need more context; complex models and long responses usually cost more.

Memory and the world also run in the background. A message therefore has no fixed price. Model labels show estimates; billing uses actual usage. The usage view shows the Runes charged.

How can I reduce costs?

Start with Standard and short responses. Generate maps and images as needed. Use the browser voice for free read-aloud. Existing audio is reused for the same provider.

Can I use my own API key?

Yes. In own-key mode, the provider bills you directly. Grimoire does not deduct Runes for those calls. OpenAI audio and ElevenLabs currently require your own key; Gemini also supports Runes.

How do tokens and caching work?

Tokens are the AI’s text units. History and responses count towards usage. Confirmed cache hits reduce the cost of reused context. Switching models does not guarantee a shared cache, so there is no automatic switch between Pro and Standard.

What does beta mean?

Grimoire is under active development. AI responses may contain errors and usage varies. Try the demos before buying credit. Refund terms are linked below.
